Police have arrested two men following a series of armed robberies in Ararat from earlier this year.

The first incident allegedly occurred on 21 October at a gaming venue on Hight Street, Ararat at about 12.35am.

A second incident occurred at the same location on 18 November at about 10.30pm.

A 31-year-old Melton West man has been charged in relation to both incidents.

A 41-year-old Sebastopol man has been charged in relation to the November incident and he's also facing charges from a armed robbery at a sporting club on Albert Street, Sebastopol on 29 October.

No staff were physically injured during the robberies.

Both men have been remanded in custody to appear in court in February, 2019.
