Police are appealing for the public's assistance to help locate Minyip man Jorge Donati.

A warrant has been issued for the 36-year-old's arrest in relation to a serious assault.

He is described as having medium build, 180 centimetres tall, with brown eyes, black hair and olive complexion.

Donati frequently uses public transport, travelling from Melbourne to the Wimmera area and is also known to visit the Thomastown, Epping, Fitzroy and Carlton areas.

Investigators have released an image of Donati (pictured above) in the hope someone may have information on his current whereabouts.
