Police investigate sporting complex burglaries

POLICE are investigating several burglaries at sporting and recreation facilities, which occurred in the Bendigo region over the past three weeks.

It is believed the same offenders are targeting pools and sporting complexes in the Castlemaine, Wedderburn, Boort and Lockington areas, stealing items including electronic equipment.

The first burglary occurred at a swimming pool on Lake Augusta Road in Castlemaine on 6th February and it was again broken into between 7.30am on Monday 25th February and 12pm on Tuesday 26th February.

Investigators believe the same offenders are responsible for a burglary at a swimming pool in Lockington on Saturday 16th February at 4.20am where cash and electronic equipment was stolen.

On this occasion the offenders fled in a white SUV.

Investigators have released images of the vehicle in the hope that someone may recognise it or its owners
