WFL returns albeit with super tight spectator restrictions

Community sport in regional Victoria is back for all ages, both for training and for competition this weekend.

The Horsham and district football netball league will sit out this weekend and resume round y next weekend, with the Wimmera league going ahead as of tomorrow.

The WFL made the announcement wednesday evening that they would be pushing ahead with it confirmed late yesterday from the AFL that spectator numbers will sit at 150 and include players and officials. The Wimmera football league issued this statement yesterday...

"All Junior and Senior Games will proceed this weekend as planned.

Unfortunately, it has been confirmed today that the capacity limit of 150 includes players and officials.

Host clubs are working on arrangements to maximise capacity, where possible, at each venue.

As per any ordinary home and away match gate entrance fees will apply.

The WFNL are committed to playing as many games as possible this year. Although capacity limits present us with many challenges, it also provides us with opportunities to be innovative and adaptable to allow our competition to continue.

We Will Make It Work!"
